The Azure cloud platform is operated directly by Microsoft and allows you, for example, to deploy the Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations ERP directly in SaaS mode (public cloud required in SaaS mode for D365 on Azure) across 2 paired sites in Western Europe.
Please note for IaaS mode: the SAP S/4HANA ERP requires a specific hardware architecture with server models certified by SAP.
The strength of the Azure platform lies in simplifying your access to more than 200 Microsoft solutions: application development, AI, data analytics, and more, while offering strong security commitments (private isolation of your cloud environment on Azure with private network access, for example).
Finally, since this is an international cloud platform owned by a U.S. software publisher, particular attention must be paid to compliance issues (Cloud Act, Privacy Shield, etc.).
