Review of TVH Consulting’s Annual Seminar Focused on the Senses

Greatly appreciated by our colleagues, our 2022 edition annual company seminar took place on Friday, June 24 in Paris. Given the health context of the previous years, it was even more anticipated. Bringing employees together is good, but around a theme is even better. We found that we all tend to push through long workdays, diving headfirst into our tasks and sometimes forgetting our role within the overall organization. We are convinced that it’s necessary to take a step back on the meaning of our work and to develop self-confidence, well-being, and fulfillment. That’s why we named our seminar “SenSaaS: The seminar that awakens your Senses.” It was important to give our colleagues a sense of purpose. Especially since since the last seminar in Lisbon (pre-Covid), over fifty colleagues have joined us and had not had the opportunity to meet other colleagues in France.

More than just an annual event, it’s THE unmissable gathering of the year to enjoy your colleagues in a context other than our Clients’ projects (whether in-person or remotely). It allows you to be surrounded by people sharing the same values in a fun and more relaxed setting. It is important to recharge and remember that we are part of a big team, or even a big family for the most dedicated. This event is a real booster for reconnecting with the company and growing one’s sense of belonging. Sharing DNA, values, laughter, complicity, stories, and exchanges about our projects — all these elements allowed us to bring meaning back to our daily lives.

This seminar was rich in emotions with meetings, reunions, and exciting announcements for the group’s future.

A Moment of Conviviality with the Management

After a delightful welcome breakfast, Ahmed Mahcer and Eric Boisneault kicked off the session with a vibrant and sense-filled speech. The management was able to directly communicate the company’s results, new projects, a review of the past year, and announcements of new projects initiated under our CSR approach, such as parenting support and reserving six company crib spots per year for future newborns. At TVH Consulting, a company of human scale, transparency is one of our values, and the seminars prove this once again.

Initiation Rituals, Employee Engagement, and Quality of Life/Well-being at Work Workshop

The second part of the morning was dedicated to our colleagues. Which ones, do you think? And why?

The 19 new employees were treated to a small initiation ritual. The challenge? Sing in front of their approximately 120 colleagues a song specially remixed for TVH Consulting. They co-wrote the lyrics themselves and, among us, they lit up the floor and weren’t traumatized…

It was an opportunity to celebrate and honor the years of loyalty and commitment of 42 of our “experienced” colleagues — 5, 10, or even 15 years of service, indeed, it’s commendable!

To conclude this morning, the colleagues had the chance to discover the Quality of Work Life and Working Conditions (QLWC) to figure out “How to become a Perform’Heur by TVH Consulting?” Becoming a Perform’Heur: an actor of one’s happiness and performance at work! The goal is to seek a better balance between personal and professional spheres, favorable working conditions, and also highlight each individual’s contribution within the group. Then, everyone participated in a short sophrology session to refocus before tackling the rest of a day full of activities (yes, yes, EVERYONE, even the most reluctant).

An Innovative Team Building to Strengthen Team Spirit

Once fully recharged, it was time for the afternoon Team Building near the Eiffel Tower, for a giant Cluedo! This activity created real bonds and beautiful memories captured in photos. Teams were formed so that all departments and agencies were mixed. This setup was a tremendous success as colleagues were able to spend time with people they don’t usually work with or communicate with, since we are spread across 6 agencies in France and 1 in Morocco. The common “solidarity” intention in service of the company’s project helped to strengthen cohesion.

During the activity, a photo challenge was organized to bring out everyone’s creative side. Having a shared project, even if it’s within a game, is the perfect excuse to communicate and open up more easily to others, regardless of age, position, and seniority. Once the starting signal was given, we saw the emergence of camaraderie within the groups with a desire to win at all costs, even if it involves striking a silly pose (lying on the ground in the middle of Paris or taking a photo with strangers). Everyone could contribute their ideas while listening to others’. For some who didn’t know each other that morning, the result is really pleasing to see.

Fundraising for Charities Close to Our Hearts

We combined Team Building, sports, fun, and solidarity. To combine the useful with the pleasant, we wanted to establish a partnership with WalkUnited to count the number of steps taken during our Cluedo, which are converted into donations for 3 charities. How does it work? You need to make as many steps as possible to convert them into donations to charities of our choice, isn’t that SenSaaSional?

We are proud to announce that €5,000 was raised thanks to the WalkUnited app and our colleagues who logged a total of 900,000 steps!

We decided to support:

  • Planète Urgence: an organization that protects endangered forests and biodiversity, promotes local community development, and raises environmental awareness. Together, with our donations, we will plant 900 trees in 2022
  • Magie à l’hôpital: a charity that voluntarily offers magic shows to hospitalized children and their families. 15 magic kits and gifts for the children were distributed in 2022
  • Action Against Hunger: an NGO that assists the most vulnerable populations to prevent, detect, and treat malnutrition. 200 children will benefit from the nutrition program for 1 year

At TVH Consulting, we believe in the saying “( ) ,” and we wish to continue implementing such initiatives whenever we have the opportunity.

Dinner Cruise on a Barge

After a long walk, the colleagues deserved their evening! A moment to unwind, relax, and enjoy! With the sound of music played by a live jazz band, a glass of champagne in hand, and a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower, the colleagues enjoyed great moments of conversations, laughter, and memories on the rooftop of a barge.

After that, the colleagues set sail for a two-hour cruise on the Seine accompanied by a seated dinner. Still not tired, the colleagues had the opportunity to dance and participate in a music-themed blind test, and believe us, it was a real blast (JavaScript?) lol!

No matter how much we love our work and our missions, a good atmosphere at work remains essential! It is important to work in an environment conducive to good relationships and where there is smooth, transparent communication and continuous improvement of our processes.
