Since 2022, SAP has also offered the GROW with SAP SaaS offering in the public Cloud. The software vendor aims to simplify access to its ERP in the Cloud and to the innovative tools of its SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), with associated Cloud service packages to ensure the long-term viability and scalability of the solution for its customers.

GROW with SAP
The public cloud offering
in autopilot mode
GROW with SAP provides very rapid access to the S/4HANA ERP in SaaS mode in the SAP public cloud, hosted in Germany or the Netherlands, with a 99.7% SLA. This offering is based on a 100% SaaS model, and updates are automatically rolled out twice a year. There are no more update projects, and you always remain on the standard version. It is therefore important to carefully verify that your business processes are covered by the ERP’s standard features and Best Practices. In short, SAP takes care of everything!
This Public Cloud edition is therefore aimed more at new customers. For existing SAP customers who wish to migrate, this requires taking a Greenfield and Fit-to-Standard Process redesign approach.
Some customizations are still possible, however, but they must now be carried out in SAP BTP; the standard core of the ERP can no longer be modified in this multi-tenant cloud environment.
RISE with SAP
The Private Cloud offering
for maximum control
RISE with SAP also provides quick access to the S/4HANA ERP, but within a dedicated Cloud infrastructure that also lets you benefit from the prepackaged business solutions Cadexpress S/4 and greater flexibility in the location of Cloud servers, customization options, and the frequency of major updates.
This Private Cloud edition offers a choice of hyperscaler among SAP, AWS, Google, and Microsoft Azure, with the option of being hosted in a Data Center in France. The responsibility model is then shared between SAP, you, and the integration partner.
This approach, which allows for greater customization, precisely meets the expectations of certain industries affected by very strict standards (pharmaceutical industry, etc.), as well as existing SAP customers who can maintain specific developments from their current version and remain in control of the pace of their updates.

The SAP Activate methodology guides your move to the public Cloud with a Digital Discovery Assessment right from the start, even before choosing SAP. It will be reused during the project phase, giving you a smooth transition with ready-to-use tools and documentation to facilitate each step of the process and secure your project.
The project is centered on the Fit-to-Standard approach, which requires adopting a “Cloud Mindset”. Even though the project is delivered in agile mode, SAP S/4HANA’s standard preconfigured processes are mandatory and form the foundation of the entire project. Workarounds and simple adaptations remain possible, but it is the company that adapts to the ERP system, not the other way around. The integrator’s expertise will then be key in helping you identify gaps and extension needs in order to validate the processes.

The private cloud approach gives you more flexibility, and our Cadexpress S/4 scoping study allows you to incorporate the preconfigured business processes of Cadexpress S/4 solutions into the Fit-to-Standard approach. This means you benefit from our experience to maximize the use of standard SAP S/4HANA or Cadexpress S/4 features, and we can handle the necessary customizations.
The project remains focused on the Fit-to-Standard approach, but with more room for compromise. Some gaps can therefore be addressed through advanced customizations, directly in the ERP solution processes, or also via extensions on SAP BTP. Existing SAP customers can thus preserve their business-specific developments if they are critical or explore how to transfer them into Cadexpress S/4 business features.
