TVH Consulting through its employees

Back
Can you tell us about your background and why you wanted to join TVH Consulting?

After graduating from business school (ISC Paris), with a specialization in IT, I was contacted by a recruitment agency to join TVH Consulting 7 years ago. My last Master’s internship at Thalès had already allowed me to familiarize myself with the IT sector and gain initial experience in a large company, which was much more hierarchical and had many processes in place.

Finding a relatively young, dynamic company, especially one on a human scale that promotes well-being and professional growth, was primarily what I was looking for in my future workplace. From a tools perspective, I was curious to discover this system I didn’t know: ERP, notably Microsoft and SAP software known as market leaders worldwide.

What does the job of Consultant/Project Director at TVH Consulting involve?

For me, the role of a consultant involves supporting the client in the deployment of the ERP solution, through simple processes, particularly respecting the client’s specific business and legal constraints. From advisory roles to change management, including user training, we have a certain level of service and requirements to respect that must not be forgotten.

What has been your skill development journey at TVH Consulting over the past 7 years?

Over the past 7 years, I’ve had the opportunity to progress through several positions: Junior Consultant, Senior Consultant, and most recently, Project Director. When I started in 2010, I was paired with a slightly more senior consultant (also see Claire’s testimony) to observe extensively and ask all our questions in the evenings after project days. It took me less than 6 months to start having my own responsibilities and full autonomy on my first project in the B2B Retail sector. Quickly, I was entrusted with other projects, such as my first international project (Japan) with the deployment of a core model, which was as fascinating as another project in the pharmaceutical industry, rather complex in terms of regulatory requirements related to this sector.

Finally, over the past 3 years, I was able to confirm my skills as a Senior Consultant and was entrusted with the project management for our international pharmaceutical client Pierre Fabre. What could be more challenging than being propelled onto an international project across many subsidiaries worldwide, faced with different cultures, legal frameworks, and managing a team of 3 people, at the age of 29! I can say that the cultural richness in implementing the ERP (country constraints) has brought me professional maturity and rigor in project and people management (both my internal team and client teams).

What advice would you give to new arrivals?

Professionally and personally, I have learned and progressed a lot since I joined TVH Consulting. But if I had to give you 3 pieces of advice:

  • Appreciate the autonomy you are given to find solutions yourself and prove your worth (American style, that’s how we progress at TVH Consulting)!
  • Dare to ask questions if you want to progress quickly and not waste time on your projects
  • Always keep smiling because you will be the main contact for the client
If you had to describe TVH Consulting in one word?

Enriching!

What is your next challenge?

Soon starting the deployment of the Pierre Fabre subsidiary in the United States.
